Fried Venison and Buffalo Butter Garlic Recipe

Fried Venison with Buffalo Butter Garlic Sauce

One of my favorite and easy recipes to make is fried venison. I do mine a little bit differently than others, but it comes out delicious. I hope you all enjoy the recipe. Oh and by the way, I may love my hot sauce a little too much. You don’t need to make the sauce with these they are fine on their own.

Fried Venison

3 venison steaks

2 eggs

2 cups flower

Half Cup of Milk

1 TBSP Salt

1 TBSP Pepper

2 TBSP Garlic Powder

1 box of Ritz crackers

Half Gallon of Apple Cider

3 cups vegetable oil

2 TBSP Hot Sauce

2 cups flour

  1. First thing to do is thaw out your venison steaks and cut them into smaller bite sized cubes. Trim off any of the silver lining. Soak these bite sized pieces in apple cider overnight to draw out the blood in the meat.

  2. Once blood is removed, place the venison in a mixing bowl. Add milk and some hot sauce(depending on how much you like) in with the venison and let soak for an hour.

  3. Mix your 2 eggs and half cup of milk in a bowl to dip the venison in once ready. At this time, crush up the ritz crackers and put into a large zip lock bag.  Mix the flour, pepper, salt, and garlic powder together in a separate bowl.

  4. Once the zip lock bag is ready with the Ritz Crackers crushed up and flour is mixed, take the venison from the milk and hot sauce mixture and let some of the excess milk run off. Dip the venison into the flour, then into the egg and milk, and then into the Ritz Cracker bag.

  5. Heat the 3 cups of oil in a decent size pan. Keep heat at medium temperature once oil is hot and ready to be cooked in.

  6. Drop in coated pieces of venison. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until a golden brown color. Use tongs to remove and enjoy.

Butter Garlic Buffalo Sauce

1 Bottle of Franks Red Hot

Half Stick of Butter

4 TBSP Minced Garlic

  1. In a frying pan, melt the butter and garlic in together. Stir until butter completely melted.

  2. Add in the bottle of Franks Red Hot. Stir mixture and simmer.

  3. Add in pieces of fried venison and stir.

  4. Eat and enjoy!!!!
